saturday night makeup look

today's listening 15th june; klaxons, atlantis to interzone (crystal castles remix)

Nothing makes me feel more ready for a night out than knowing my makeup feels pretty. Saturday night makeup is a big deal for me, and when you're going out you want to feel like you're confident in what you wear, irregardless of whether you're popping to your second home for a comfortable drink or two, or heading out to the club for a party.

This is my Saturday night look this week and it's pretty simple to do, but might take a little time if you wanna keep layering up the eyeshadow - it really depends how far you wanna take the drama. So I used one of my favourite Estee Lauder palettes which is called Film Noir and it retails at £35. I've had this palette for a year or so and it's the one that I *always* reach for to take with me because it's just so easy to do a soft grey smokey eye using it. My base in this look is by MAC and it's called Genuine Treasure, it was a limited edition one that I didn't really rate much at the time and still don't much now, but it does make a soft glittery base for this kind of look, so I grabbed it for this. I then finished off my eyes using Benefit's They're Real mascara and Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner in Gunmetal on the inner waterline.

My face has Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation mixed with Illamasqua Liquid Foundation so it suits my skintone and covers nicely but without being too thick. I like this Bourjois foundation but it can be a smidgeon too dark sometimes so mixing it with the paler Illamasqua one helps. My blusher is Estee Lauder Powder Gelee in Tease which is genuinely my favourite blusher of all time. No joke. It's beautiful! My eyebrows are the shade Faint from the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and my lips are MAC Hue, nice and nude. This look is perfect for a Saturday night, and it's how i'm about to go out, right now! What do you rock on a Saturday night?

Love, Zozo

Disclaimer: I got some products in this post sent to me for free. Illamasqua Foundation and MAC Hue/MAC Genuine Treasure were bought for by me. Can't remember rightly but I think all the others are PR samples.

parklife festival manchester with boohoo.com

today's listening 13th june; steve aoki feat iggy azalea, beat down

So this weekend I had the pleasure of attending Parklife Festival in Manchester with the super babes from Boohoo.com.We left on the Saturday morning from Euston and after a lush brunch (I definitely ate an entire steak, oops) we were ready to hit up the festival! We went straight for the Boohoo.com bus as a little sanctuary and it had a lovely vibe throughout the entire festival. Festivalgoers could visit and have a little makeover - either hair or makeup - and also print some instagram pictures to take home as well as customise their own pair of plain Boohoo sunglasses.

I went with Lily, Leanne, Chyaz, Rosie, Tasha and Becca, but sadly Lily felt a bit rough after the first day so left back for London so there was just the rest of us throughout the rest of the time. We saw lots of awesome music including Toddla T, Jaguar Skills and Iggy Azalea - due to a scheduling mix up (cheers Parklife for the headsup, or not, growl.) we didn't get to see AlunaGeorge which bummed me out a bit but the rest of the music made up for it!

You can see all of this however IRL by clicking play on my YouTube video above as I made a little vlog of the whole thing and the outfits I wore! Let me know what you think of the vlog, and please do "like" and "subscribe" to my YouTube channel it'd make my day. :) What do you think of Boohoo.com? Did you go to Parklife?
